Using the RS Booster with a rain deflector with no internal voltage regulator has proven vital in scenarios where high speeds and frontal wind is encountered.

Since a non regulated deflector is supposed to be used with a 24v power source, using the on-board battery voltage radically decreases the speed and efficiency of the device. 

A measured speed difference from on-board voltages (11-14.8v) to a constant regulated 24v shows a 230% increase in performance from around 1500RPM to a constant 3500RPM.

The values are variable depending on the specific device and conditions but the improvement is obvious.
